As a client hunter, pioneer hunter, and professional hunter, Bert Klineburger is, without a doubt, the world’s preeminent international hunter. Bert Klineburger's life reads like the history of the twentieth century: He hunted in Alaska with the pre-statehood pioneers; operated safari companies while living in Uganda before Idi Amin; hunted in the C.A.R. before elephant poaching nearly destroyed the herds; was in Zaire before losing everything he had except his life; opened Afghanistan for Marco Polo sheep and took hunters to the Roof of the World; and found himself in the middle of the East Block as communism fell. Since 1990 the Soviet Union collapsed, and once forbidden areas all across the world’s largest country were opened to hunting. The Sleeping Giant, China, with its many rare and interesting species opened to hunting. Elephant hunting opened in Botswana, and Mozambique reopened to hunting and is getting better each year. The poaching of elephants in the fantastic Selous Reserve of Tanzania was stopped, and the elephant numbers are growing rapidly. Beautiful Ethiopia closed hunting and then reopened. Iran, after years of turbulence, once again accepts hunters from outside. This is Bert's latest book on all the fabulous and exotic hunting areas now available to the international hunter.
